After working in film finance for Media and the Lithuanian Ministry of Culture, she decided to dive into the creative side of film and was fortunate enough to receive numerous scholarships to attend LMU Film School (US) for her Master degree.
She is an Alumnus of the Incubator Lab at Film Independent (Los Angeles, US) and EKRAN+ at Wajda School (Poland).
In 2016 Irma established the educational group called Directors Lab. Directors Lab hosted workshops with teachers such as Barry Primus, Steven Ditmyer, Nancy Bishop and etc. Together with professional actors they started Vilnius Actors Studio. Irma also directs commercials and music video. The 9th Step is her first feature film.
