Vojtěch Strakatý (1988, Prague) holds his BA in directing and scriptwriting from the Film Academy of Miroslav Ondříček in the Czech Republic. He worked as assistant director on feature films A CERTAIN KIND OF SILENCE (2019) and CALM IN THE CANOPY (2024) both directed by Michal Hogenauer. He made his short film STUCK (2016) produced by Frame Films. His feature ETERNAL PEACE (2018) was awarded by Film Foundation in the Best Debut category. The project is produced by Xova Film, was supported by The Czech Film Fund and is currently awaiting international festival premiere. He is currently developing his film THE OTHER SIDE OF SUMMER, selected at the Sofia Meetings 2024, his latest work AFTER PARTY (2024), was selected at the Venice International Film Festival in the Orizzonti Extra section.
