Synopsis

Katrina wishes to have children but her boyfriend Louis doesn’t. She falls in love with his best friend Ron, who becomes the man of her life. One night, returning drunk together from a birthday party, the two friends are involved in a car accident in which Ron loses his head and Louis his body. Thanks to a head transplant the two men survive, merged into one person. Katrina must now deal with the body and mind of two men to fulfil her dream.

The first feature film of Mirko and Dario Bischofberger (Dog Men, 2015) was a science-fiction western that premiered at the Solothurn Film Festival, the most important festival for Swiss film production. The US premiere was at the Oscar-qualifying Rhodes Island International Film Festival. The press called the film "A charmingly trashy film gem" (Aargauer Zeitung) and "Bizarre. Twisted. Crazy. Absurd." (Landbote). Katrina’s Dream is their second feature film.

Mirko Bischofberger is the founder and president of Swiss Fiction Movement, an association that advocates for better funding conditions of unconventionally produced feature films in Switzerland. They focus on low-budget movies, gender equality, the international outreach of the Swiss audiovisual branch and the upcoming digital technologies (seeswissfictionmovement.ch).
