Graduated from Cinematography Department of the University of Silesia in Katowice. His debut is the award-winning and famous film "Ki" by Leszek Dawid (2011), presented at the Venice Film Festival. Film received numerous awards: a nomination to the Main Prize in the Polish Film Competition and in the Cinematographers' Debut Competition in Camerimage in 2011. Other awards for "Ki" include the nomination to Andrzej Munk Award and Golden Duck awarded by readers of the Film magazine.
In 2010, together with Paweł Ferdek, he directed "Scrap Odyssey", an epic documentary film realized in Kyrgyzstan, which was presented at many festivals around the world.
Director of photography for many feature films, among others: Filip Bajon's "Panie Dulskie", “The Butler" (Silver Lions at Gdynia Film Festival, nomination to the main prize in the Polish Film Competition at the Camerimage 2018 Festival and for the PSC award), "Performer" directed by Łukasz Ronduda and Maciej Sobieszczański (awarded with the Think statuette: Film Award at the Berlinale in 2015), Łukasz Ronduda's “Heart of Love" (premiere at the Berlinale 2018, nomination for the Grand Prix of the New Horizons Festival, Jantar award for cinematography at the Youth and Film - Debut Film Festival in Koszalin).
He is a co-director (together with Łukasz Ronduda) and cinematographer for the feature film "Fears” (2021), which won the Main Prize at the Gdynia Film Festival, as well as Award for best cinematography, Journalists Award, Don Quixote - Polish Film Clubs Federation Award and Young Jury Award for Best Film in the Main Competition.
Cinematographer for the British-French production (SkyAtlantic Uk, Canal+ Fr) criminal mini series "The Tunnel" (2013) directed by Udayana Prasada with stars of British and French cinema, including Stephan Dillane and Clémence Poésy. This project has been awarded at many prestigious festivals, among others: Emmy Awards Best Performance by an Actor for Stephan Dillane and nomination for the Drama Series Emmy Awards.
He’s also visual artist presenting his artistic works (for example, the "Minstrel Show", realized together with Anna Niesterowicz) in the best galleries and museums in Poland and in the world, including Kunsthalle Basel, the Foksal Gallery Foundation and the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw.
